“Cradle of Light”… Faisal bin Salman inaugurates the city projects exhibition (MEDEX 2022)

Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Medina region, praised the attention and care that the state gives to the Two Holy Mosques, indicating that the giant projects implemented in the two holy cities over the past decades are a testimony to the care of this blessed country for them, since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman. In detail, this came during the opening dialogue session of the city projects exhibition “MEDEX 2022”, which was organized by Al-Maqar Development Company – the investment arm of the municipality of the region – over a period of 3 days, at the King Salman Convention Center. Prince Faisal bin Salman stressed that Medina receives special attention in various fields to raise it to the highest levels within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and to achieve the aspirations of citizens, visitors and residents alike. He pointed out the importance of achieving integration and harmony between all sectors to develop health, educational and service services, and what is related to humanization to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors, indicating that the components and comparative advantages enjoyed by the city of Al-Mustafa, peace be upon him, make it an attractive investment destination. The Emir of the Medina region explained that competition between government and private sectors in implementing projects leads to achieving excellence in achieving a sustainable development renaissance. Regarding the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ expansion project for the Quba Mosque, Prince Faisal bin Salman said, “The project does not only aim to expand the mosque for worshipers, but will include developing the historical area surrounding the mosque to be a cultural project that enriches the experience of the guests of God, visitors to Medina.” The Emir of the region spoke about the fact that the development of cities and the achievement of the concept of quality of life are directly proportional to the development of the health and educational sectors, stressing that interest in the future of Medina is an embodiment of interest in Islamic history. During the inauguration of the Medina Projects Exhibition, which was organized under the title “The Cradle of Light and the City of the Future,” he reviewed the participating pavilions, which showcase a package of future projects in Medina, in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary of the Region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Maqar Company, Engineer Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Balihashi, as the exhibition enjoys participation. Roaa Al-Madina Holding Company, Knowledge Economic City Company, Al-Maqar Development Company projects, Karim Transportation Solutions Company, and Taiba Investment Company, in addition to a wide group of companies specialized in real estate development across the Kingdom. The city projects exhibition is the first of its kind in the region, as it aims to stimulate various public and private sectors to contribute to the comprehensive development and development of Medina, and to enhance access among other partners to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The ceremony began with the playing of the Royal Anthem, then the recitation of verses from the Quran. Al-Hakim, then the Executive Director of Al-Maqar Company, Majid bin Mohammed Al-Shalhoub, gave a speech in which he explained that the city’s projects exhibition comes to enhance and support the development and economic movement that the region is witnessing in all fields, indicating that the exhibition seeks to support the great and distinguished efforts of various governmental and private agencies, and to keep pace with Qualitative developments and shifts, and highlights the promising investment opportunities in the region, including enabling and stimulating the private sector to actively participate in the development and development system.
